Installing our repeater antenna
The Little Egypt Amateur Radio Society, LEARS, wishes to express our thanks and appreciation to Wisper Internet for allowing our repeater antenna to be placed on their tower east of Benton. This move was necessary after our old location was vandalized and permanently disabled.

Our VHF repeater is vital for SKYWARN nets to report storm damage from outlying ares of Franklin Co. We then relay that to the Franklin Co Office of Emergency communications. We also have the ability to contact neighboring counties directly in case of a total communication failure, phone and internet. Once again, thanks to Wisper Internet for allowing our repeater their assistance.
